About Tommy Bowman

Tommy Bowman has been covering football and basketball at Appalachian State as long as Jerry Moore and Buzz Peterson have coached there -- a long time. He once told Moore that they should retire together.

They're all still going strong.

Bowman has traveled up Highway 421 covering ASU and gathering countless stories about the Mountaineers since 1988. He thanks God for completion of the four lane.

He also is grateful for memories made -- from Rufus Leach's astonishing 3-point exhibitions in Varsity Gym to surreal post-game scenes at Chattanooga and Michigan -- and hopes to share some through this blog.
