SoCon basketball update

How they rank heading into tonight’s games:

1. Chattanooga, 8 points
  College of Charleston, 8
3. Furman, 7
4. Wofford, 6
5. Western Carolina, 1
6. Appalachian, 0
7. The Citadel, -2
  Elon, -2
9. Davidson, -5
  UNC Greensboro, -5
  Samford, -5
12. Georgia Southern, -11

Teams get two points for a road win, one point for a home win, minus-one for a road loss and minus-two for a home loss (conference games only).


Hot and cold:

Furman (4-game winning streak), The Citadel and UNC Greensboro (3-game winning streaks)
Georgia Southern (8-game losing streak), Samford (5-game losing streak), Davidson (3-game losing streak)


North vs. South:

South Division leads 14-10. (Note: South Division teams won the first five meetings this season against North opponents. North teams then won seven straight and took a brief lead. Since, the South reeled off a string of seven straight victories.)
