We had a very similar experience at Firebirds—our waiter vanished and then reappeared ... after getting every order wrong. The manager then offered to take the meal off our tab and gave us gift certificates. My husband said, “Look, I just want the food that I ordered. Don’t bother with the gift certificates; we won’t be coming back here.” The worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time.

Good-Service or the Lack’thereof, is in general Anemic in the Triad from Clemmons’ Red-stripe burger haven to Village Tavern, with exception possibly to “Cities” on Stratford… Quality-Service is nowhere. Which is why I call Uncle Desi’s Catering Service for Superb Jamacain or Continental Cuisine…776-5156… Desmond is a certified Chef(sxperience from New Yorks’-Tavern on the Green) or locally-Ziggys… Desmond’s food is outstanding and his Service is also highly-rated.

Sorry. Still love that filet mignon smothered in bleu cheese, wrapped in bacon. Super tasty. I’m getting giddy just thinking about it.
Recently though, I have only called in orders for pickup so I can’t comment on the decline (or not) of service.

I totally agree Laura. I have been three times and the food and service quality has decreased progressively.
The place also seems to lack soul.Maybe it’s the chain thing.
