Apple Time

Such a busy week, but I’m popping in for a second to let you know about local apple detective/grower/lover Tom Brown’s talks on heritage apples will happen again at various Forsyth County Library branches (no pun intended, but I’m not tapping the delete button) this fall.

I wrote about Tom last year. He goes all over hither and yon, chasing down leads on old apple varieites. Here’s his schedule for this year’s appearances, and come a little peckish, because he usually has strange, delicious and unusal apples with him:

Lewisville: Wed., Sept. 23 - noon
Walkertown: Mon., Oct. 12 - 7 p.m.
Carver: Thurs., Oct. 15 - 11 a.m.
Southside: Tues., Oct. 20 - 6 p.m.
Central: Thurs., Oct. 22 - 4 p.m.
