Meals with a Side of Clean Air

I received an e-mail on Friday from a reader who wanted us to consider publishing a list of local restaurants that are smoke-free. Not ones with sections divided into smoking and non - she was looking for truly smoke-free places to eat, with no smoking allowed inside at all. That’s a great idea except A. this isn’t new news - we’ve written about the number of restaurants going smoke-free before, and B. the list is large, and growing.

But I did want to point it out to anyone else who is interested in perusing an online resource for smoke-free meals in Forsyth County. The county’s infant mortality reduction coalition (though the county health department) has quite a list, and you can add to the list if you know of a restaurant snuffing out smokes. Check it out.

THANK YOU!!! I have bookmarked this page for future reference. I am glad to have a resource to go to so I don’t have to sit among the terrible smell of cigarettes and subject my children to that as well. Even sitting in the non-smoking section isn’t enough. I hope the number of restaurants that are truly non-smoking grows and grows. I want to smell the delicious food I pay for and not cigarette smoke.
