Its wonderful to have a place to read inside stuff about the Deacs!  We all appreciate your going the extra mile like this.

Was trying to google myself to find a thread over on the forums and came across this post.  Still loving the blog…much better format for discussing Wake sports than traditional articles.

I enjoy the blog. Once you get out of Forsyth County there is no real concentration of Deacon fans with whom to argue. I’ll try to up my rant postings so I can be 10,000… Thanks

Dan, I read your articles up here in the snow- and ice-land, called Montana - right on the border of Yellowstone National Park and just south of Glacier N.P.  I’m a ‘56 Wake alum.
Have you come to the opinion or insight that Bzdelik is, or is not the right man for Wake basketball?  What about his staff’s recruiting?  Will there be a ‘heavyweight’in the post for 2011-12?  Are there any comments that really come to the aid of the new coach, or do you just post the negatives so as to give the discussion a ragged edge?

and we are glad you did—great insights and place to vent, observe, learn, participate, and share more completely in the joys and agony of being a Deacon.  Thank you.

Dan and others,
Read accsports.com today to learn what Brick Oettinger says about Wake recruiting.

I must admit that I never logged on to MTOW until the basketball team hit bottom.  I was curious as to what was happening to the Deacs.  Enjoy the site and all the comments.  Rather than give away a car…...how ‘bout give away the head coaching job?

Dan, thanks very much for giving us Wake fans the “inside scoop” on things Wake related.  I really enjoy reading your blogs and enjoy reading everyone’s comments too.  Hope this thing stays around a while.

Btw,  I saw you at the open practice and thought to myself of how cool of a job you have to get to cover this program regardless of how bad things get around here.  Keep it up sir!

Tom, I’d be glad to spring for a large cup of brunswick stew for you as well. Or you can drop by the Garage pretty much any Wednesday and I’ll buy you something a bit stronger. Maybe Ken will be there as well and we can solve all the world’s problems. Somebody needs to, might as well be us.

Dan,

Congrats on the longevity of the blog. I had a feeling it would last. I have thoroughly enjoyed the info you have given and learned or laughed or gotten irritated at the posts by the Peanut Gallery. I’ve even thrown a post or two in myself, most times agreeing but, once in a while, finding your posts completely unbelievable and way out in left field! Everyone’s entitled though. I hope you will continue MTOW until you decide to fully concentrate on music, which I fear is not that far away. Please remember though, that from our point of view, Wake fans need you more right now than that 6 string does! LOL! I do intend to, in the off-season get to W-S to hear you play and I know I’ll enjoy it but in a weird way, I hope your playing can’t match your writing but I have a hunch it’s gaining! As I’ve said many times over, WFU fans need you, appreciate you and don’t want you doing anything else….period! Thanks for being here for us and for all you do for Wake and I do look forward to stopping by to hear you play (hopefully with your full band but solo will be fine too)!

Country,
Since I was the first poster from the peanut gallery; what do I win???

I sent you so many e-mails that you had to set this site up or your system would crash. Can’t believe its been almost three years!

Keep on doing what you have become famous for…We take the good along with the bad except there has been too much of the latter lately. You call it like it is without embellishing the truth and I appreciate your honesty. Since I reside on the coast of S.C. I will continue to forward information I receive which may apply to this venue…Best Wishes!
