Vitale can be annoying as well as entertaining, and he has valid points.  A few years ago he was saying the same thing about Wake Forest being jilted by the committee when they were left out after being on the bubble.  He’s paid a lot of money to express his opinions.

If the rumors are true, there is a good chance Seth Greenberg will be St. Johns bound pretty soon anyway.  Who could blame him?  Va Tech will never be a basketball school.

I think you almost could have re-posted your blog entry from before we last played Virginia Tech (when they beat us…).  A lot of people saw this “snub” coming.  Speaking of Dick Vitale’s rant, I thought that Jay Bilas’ response was phenomenal.  It put Dickie V right in his place.

I am impressed by the way Seth Greenberg has handled it though.  Obviously he is disappointed, but he has refrained from commenting on the teams he thinks is less deserving.  I suppose most coaches would take the high road on that issue, but I was still impressed.  He seems like a pretty solid coach to me.

Great read!  I’ve got to find a way to send your link to all those blogs out there that have people trashing WF for getting in vs. VT.  I also lost any lingering (very little) respect for Dick Vitale with his bashing of WF.  Can’t wait to see how he’s received the next time he comes to town.
