Dan, is this the most talent and deepest Wake team you have seen ? This posting and your WSJ article about the daily depth chart leads me to believe it may be.

It sounds like Coach Grobe should pick the quarterback with the best passing ability. Wake has got some pretty good running backs (Josh Adams, Brandon Pendergrass) and a bull of a fullback (Tommy Bohanon). With the stable of speedy and sure-handed receivers that the Deacs are fielding, the coaching staff needs to pick a quarterback who can get them the ball with quickness and accuracy. I think that Tanner Price might just be the right guy for the job. Besides, the last freshman (albeit a redshirt freshman) that got the job didn’t do too badly his first year. Wake can run the end around or pound the ball inside with the other guys. The Deacs need a QB who can throw the ball, and Tanner Price is the best of that bunch. But I’m betting that Coach Grobe won’t be able to bring himself to start a true freshman at such an important position, even if he did play big-time high school ball in Texas. Go Deacs!
