Does anyone know if WFU, footbal program or athletic administration, has a hard and fast policy about athletes transferring in from juco’s? I have never heard of any noteworthy football players coming in for their last two years of eligibility but this might be the year to be out beating the bushes in the West where most of the large juco programs are. I mean let’s face it, no matter how much time is spent in the weight room and no matter what kind of coaching changes are made on the defensive side of the ball, the bottom line is they are not going to improve that much (40+ points a game) unless they recruit some aggressive players. I can’t help believe that if accepting transfers, or going after transfers, is discouraged the rule ought to be relaxed until we can get better players in WFU. I mean this could get pretty bad as will be difficult to recruit off successive two win seasons.

Has Coach Grobe thought of starting Marshall Williams at QB ? He’s the best passer the Deacons have this season .

Prediction: Tanner Price will transfer to a Texas school where he will get decent coaching, have teammates who can catch passes and not incur silly penalties that put him in a hole.

Whatever Dan—the time for rose-colored glasses is long past. Frankly I am offended by what this Wake Forest football program (I refuse to refer to them as a team) puts on the field every week. Ifr Wake actually wants to continue competing in football as a sport, then the entire coaching staff should be fired by Wellman immediately following the final whistle in Nashville. And if he has any brains, Wellman is already interviewing candidates for the position.

2 wins, 7 losses = Down & Out.  How far have the Deacs fallen when being realistically still in the game is considered a morale victory?  I guess the affects of bottom of the barrel recruiting classes is starting to show on the field every Saturday…

Dan,

4th and 1 on our own 40…down 2 scores.  And we punt it away.
It takes BC about 2 plays to get back near the WF 40.  AHHHHHH!!!!!

I just don’t understand this decision…give yourself a chance to win coach!!!
What do you have to lose??

BC isn’t terrible, but they are bad.
