We certainly need a break. A football team that is 3-11 over the past 14 games and a basketball program that is realistically picked for last place this year. The big question among the Deac nation is can Grobe turn this around and can Bzdelick recruit the players to get the bb team back into the top tier in the ACC? I guess for us Deacs, we won’t know the answer to those questions for at least a year.

We’ve got a pretty bitter fan base right now, Dan. As I’m sure you’re aware. . .I think it is important to get to NYC, though.

Dan, why was the scrimmage with College of Charleston? What’s the connection? I’m curious because I am a huge fan of the Frank McGuire coaching tree.

If the loss of Tony Woods didn’t hurt enough already, now he is REALLY going to be sorely missed. And just when he was coming into his own (as in the Texas game). Rats - if not for bad luck 2010-2011 Wake Forest athletics wouldn’t have any luck at all.

Only hope someone is out recruiting. At least with Dino Wake usually had a top 10 recruiting class. Not sure about Bz…
Dino was a good recruiter even if his coaching abilities were suspect…

No worries, in his 10th year, Coach Grobe is doing enough excuse making for both himself and Bzdelik.
Not too surprised at that line-up. I would have anticipated that Carson would be starting, but I suppose him being a bit more versatile makes him a more logical back-up. Things are going to be rough. If we aren’t back to full strength by the NIT Tip Off, we’re all kinds of screwed (and we hardly have a guaranteed spot in Madison Square Gardens regardless).
