Don’t worry, Chris.  I think that your Orioles are (finally) on the right track with McPhail making some pretty good moves without interference (so far) from Peter Angelos.

In the mean time, why not pull for a fellow AL East team?  If the Yankees win the World Series, it only enhances the argument the the AL East is the best division in baseball, which makes the Orioles’ wins all the more significant.

But if you’re still upset about Jeffrey Maier, then I can’t say that I blame you.

Go Yankees!

By the way, this is a really cool connection between Ron Wellman and Joe Girardi.  I wonder if he can parlay that relationship into a couple of visits to the Wake Forest sports teams.  The football and basketball teams could certainly benefit from hearing from a successful athlete who made the most out of his limited athletic ability.  And the baseball team could definitely use a clinic or two!

As a lifelong Oriole fan, I refuse to even consider cheering for the Yankees and would prefer to continue to consider Mr. Girardi as evil incarnate.  Thanks for your cooperation. . . .
