DC, to effectively run the 3-4, you need a x-large body at the nose, we don’t have one. However there have been small defenses in the past that have been successful, look at Miami in their glory years.

TN,
I wrote about it for Friday’s Journal, which should be posted soon. Coach Grobe said Brown injured his MCL. He did express relief that it wasn’t an ACL, and he said that he didn’t expect surgery to be required. No one said how long he’ll be out, but I’ll be after an update at practice Friday morning.

Dan,
Any news on Devon Brown?

Rob,
My reference was the Wake Forest media guide. I wouldn’t be surprised if the weights of certain players have changed. I would be surprised if they’ve changed enough to make that much of a difference. Otherwise Coach Grobe would have dismissed any concern.

Are those weights accurate? The roster may not have been updated for the most recent weights.

Dan,
Have Coach Grobe and/or Coach Lambert given any thought to switching to a more attack-oriented 3-4 in order to better suit the defense to the personnel? Thanks as always for the great insights.
