Glad Skeen is doing well. Was really weird to seem him on the court in a VCU uniform. Good luck to him.

Hey Dan - great piece about Jamie Skeen. I often follow what comes of Wake Forest players’ professional careers (I’m thrilled how Ish Smith’s NBA career has gone so far, especially since he wasn’t even drafted), and it’s good to know that Mr. Skeen is doing so well at his new school. Even though he is no longer a Demon Deacon I wish him all of the success in the world.

Dan,
Do you think that playing without a true point guard will in the long run make our players more well-rounded from a skills standpoint? Or does the lack of a reliable ball handler simply slow down the learning curve for our younger players as they try to understand Coach Bzdelik’s system?

Dan,
Thanks for the added attention to Jamie Skeen. It is impossible to get a feel for the quality of an individual when you follow them from outside “the bubble”, but Skeen always seemed like a decent guy.
I was definitely hoping to see him develop into a more assertive player in his final two years at Wake Forest and was disappointed to see him go. But that is the drawback of being such an academically rigorous school. I am glad to see that he’s landed on his feet.
