Fair enough Dan, I’ve also heard good things about Chennault from Neumann-Goretti.  I am also a bit concerned about our defense moving forward.  The frustrating part was how the intensity and ball denial were hitting on all cylinders early on in the season.  Only to fizzle-out second half of the ACC schedule, it was almost like they figured, “what’s the point?”.  Sitting behind their bench with Phil Medlin (who unsurprisingly pulled security duty for their bench) at RBC when State upset us this season was a bit worrying.  I kinda felt bad for Dino, he didn’t deserve that kind of effort…I know loads of other coaches that would have been screaming.  But having a team with such young players is a mixed bag, and not for the faint of heart I suppose.  It’s good to see you’re still doing your thing, you were always my favorite!  And I’ll definitely have to keep an eye out for your “take”.

Sean,
I usually reserve my judgment on a recruit until I’ve seen him first hand. Who, after all, knew that the recruit from Raleigh named Sean Allen was going to be such a monster until he arrived from Anderson? Hope you’re doing well.
What I’ve heard about C.J. is that he’s athletic and tough, and has a great first step to the basket. But I don’t believe, at this point in his career, he’s the drop-dead shooter the Deacons are looking for.

I hope he comes back as well…and he does have a lot of late game management issues to clear up in a lot of people’s eyes.  But in todays atmosphere this is the smartest move he can make.  We don’t quite look as tight as we would like to be in the PG/SG position.  I’m feeling positive about Torgrim Sommerfeldt and Stewart and holding the jury out on CJ…any on the ground intelligence on Mr. Harris Dan?  BTW long time no see!!

I hope Teague comes back. And while JJ is ready for the NBA, I am disappointed he’s not returning. Although we can still be a great team, with JJ, playing as he did at season’s end, we could have been a contending team. I’m hopeful Stewart can fill JJ’s shoes but it will a couple of years, I’m sure. I’m proud of Farouq for staying. Time for JT, LD, and Farouq to become team leaders and keep the team’s chemistry together!
