Dan, what happened to Mike Williams and DJ Jones, eh?
Deac in Canada on 08/31/2010 (10:39 pm)
Honestly Dan your’s is the first website I check into each and every day from way out here in Chicagoland. Reading your posts and your WSJ articles makes me feel like I’m right there watching my Deacs! There’s never a posting or link on even ESPN that doesn’t direct straight to one of your articles, so thank you.

Dan, there certainly are some contemptuous coaches out there, but didn’t you mean contentious? (Plenty of those, too.)

Dan,
I believe much of your access to the coaches and players says a lot about you as well. They all know you to be a thoughtful and honest person. They have confidence that you won’t stab any backs or weave a self-serving headline grabber story out of what they say.Keep up the great work. We appreciate the info and insight you provide.

For us folks who reside out of state the WSJ coverage of the Deacs is an oasis in the desert. Thanks for the excellent reporting and communication Country!

Dan,
You give better insight and reveal more than any columnist anywhere.
Reading your “stuff” sometimes is better than watching a live game.

Dan - all of us in the peanut gallery are deeply grateful for you and for Coach Grobe. Thanks so much to both of you!

Thanks, Dan for all your efforts, especially writing the blog. It sure helps to know whats going on when you live to far away to attend practices!

I took my wife and daughter to their first ever visit to practice this year. Stood there by the entrance to the brick wall the girls got so starry eyed. When we walked away I reminded them how we were treated at a school in Florida that will remain nameless but geographically located center of state and had a popular reptile as a mascot. My wife said, “Yes that school in Florida has a big stadium and a big name on the national scene but Wake Forest has the bigger soul”...That is when I got starry eyed.
