Take On Wake Live Chat Set for Friday
For those of you in the Peanut Gallery who missed our first live chat a few months ago, despair not. We’ve got another scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, at which time there should be more than enough to chat about. There’s tonight’s game at North Carolina leading into Saturday’s home game against the surprise team of the ACC, the Virginia Cavaliers. I enjoyed the last one, but I really thought there would be more interaction. It was left to Chris King, the super fan from Baltimore (and media star telecommunications analyst) and a couple of others to carry the load, and they carried it well.
But the more the circle is expanded, the more fun there is to be had by all.
As for tonight’s game, if you’re a Wake fan you don’t want to see me blogging. Lenox Rawlings, Bill Cole and I are covering the game and the way we have it set up is that if the Deacons win, I’ll write the lead story for the Journal. If the Tar Heels win, BC will write the story and I’ll cover what Wake bases I can through the blog.
Regardless I’ll be back at you again tomorrow, warming up the ol’ typing fingers for Friday morning’s date with coffee and Country Dan.

Yeah, weav went from starting to not playing at all faster than any person I’ve seen (who has not been suspended).
I will say that Chas has played well recently, but Tony scares me any time he shoots the ball if it is not a dunk

Charles, my guess is that with McFarland having a good stretch and Woods playing well at Duke, Dino decided to go with them. I’ll ask at practice tomorrow.
Chris, great seeing you too and I’m glad you were able to meet my daughter. If you’re not the best WF fan in the free world then you’re on the short list.
And Matt, you’ve uncovered a dark secret of the Collins family. My daughter, Rebecca, does indeed intend that state university in the general vicinity of the geographical center of the state that will go nameless. So did her father, mother, two uncles and two cousins, but don’t tell anybody. It could get me in trouble.

Dan,
Is David Weaver in Gaudio’s dog house? He went from playing about half the game to getting splinters almost the whole game. I didn’t notice any dramatic drop off in production, he’s never been a stat guy to begin with. Maybe Dino decided there wasn’t a lot of difference between him and Woods and decided to start building up Woods confidence or something, but Weaver is barely getting in the games lately.

So Dan - does Chris’ comment mean that your daughter is a Dukie or that she bleeds Carolina blue?

Thanks for the kind words, Dan. Good to see you tonight, and I’m very glad you’re not blogging this evening. . . .hope your daughter is not too distraught. . .

I pray that you will be up very late tonight, writing the great lead story for tomorrow’s Journal! I’d rather see it as the lead story rather than in the blog! Either way, though, you win! Wish I could say that but I’m certainly only on one side, the visitor’s side, tonight!
I’ll try to visit on Friday!
