A Short-lived Lead

John Edwards had the polling lead in Iowa for about 12 hours.

Despite yesterday’s InsiderAdvantage poll showing Edwards winning in Iowa, another new poll out this morning has Edwards doing much worse in the state. The poll, conducted by The Washington Post and ABC News, shows Barack Obama leading among likely caucus-goers with 33 percent support. Hillary Clinton has 29 percent. Edwards has 20 percent.

But according to the poll, Edwards has the highest percentage of supporters who have attended a caucus before — a factor that could prove important given the complex and free-wheeling nature of the caucuses.

For those of us who love digging through data, the full poll results are available here.
