JournalNow.com: Veggin' Out

Contrary to a popular stereotype, vegetarians are not all champions of self-denial, pathetically munching a sprout on the sidelines while watching the omnivores have all the culinary fun. Instead, the vegetarians we know love good food and know where to get it. They aren't about to settle for a bland meal, either at home or at a restaurant.

Oddly, the name of The Way We Eat has been changed in its paperback printing to The Ethics of What We Eat: Why Our Food Choices Matter. Something that it took me a moment to realize in Borders today.

I also really enjoyed <a href=http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/0143038583/ref=s9_asin_image_1-1966_g1/002-1053421-7068854?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=0197ACY7AVDCSK49SFKR&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=288448401&pf_rd_i=507846>The Omnivore’s Dilemma</a> by Michael Pollan (due in paperback August 28). Kind of like a kindler, gentler Fast Food Nation.
