JournalNow.com: Veggin' Out

Contrary to a popular stereotype, vegetarians are not all champions of self-denial, pathetically munching a sprout on the sidelines while watching the omnivores have all the culinary fun. Instead, the vegetarians we know love good food and know where to get it. They aren't about to settle for a bland meal, either at home or at a restaurant.

March odds and ends

*March 20 marks the annual Great American Meatout. See if you can get your carnivorous friends to go meatless for the day!

*Delicious Living magazine has a list of its top green cleaners. At their Web site, you can also check out some suggestions for making your home more eco-friendly.

*Wow, I wish I could be in Seattle this weekend for VegFest.

*Here’s a fun-looking Web site I just discovered: Ecorazzi, described as “the latest in green gossip.” Want to know who was partying at a green night club in New York? Or which celeb loves Vegenaise? Or which singer is donating profits from a new song to the Humane Society? Then this site is for you!
